Privacy
Short version: an email address if you give me one, basic anonymous traffic counts, nothing else.
What is collected
Your email address, if and only if you enter it in a signup form. It is stored by Brevo (Sendinblue), who send the emails on my behalf. It is not sold, rented, shared or used for anything except sending you these briefings.
Aggregate traffic data — page views and referrers, in a form that does not identify individuals and does not follow you around the internet. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics profiling, no cookies used to build a profile of you.
Why
The email address exists so that briefings can be sent to you. That is the whole purpose, and the lawful basis is your consent, given when you submitted the form.
How long
Until you unsubscribe, or until the list is closed. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link and it works immediately.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email the address on the contact page and it will be actioned — deletion within a few days at most, because there is very little to delete.
Third parties
Email delivery is handled by Brevo; hosting by Cloudflare Pages; web fonts by Google Fonts. Each processes data under its own terms. No data is shared with anyone else.
This policy is written in plain English deliberately. If something here is unclear, ask and it will be clarified — and the policy improved.
